Alignment: When you enter Middle-Earth, there is a mechanic called alignment which allows you to choose your side.
A custom Middle-Earth dimension, all the mods features are in this dimension, who's biomes are all spaced in the same way as the actual lotr world by Tolkien.
I'd guess a showcase would take a couple hours. It's made by the same guy who made the lion king mod, and many of its features were recycled into the mod. Its one of the largest mods I've ever encountered, with hundreds of new mobs, items, blocks, structures, and biomes, all centered around the lord of the rings. When you launch Minecraft and click the mods button you should now see the mod is installed.
Place the mod you have just downloaded (.jar file) into the Mods folder.
Open the folder Application Support and look for Minecraft.
On mac open finder, hold down ALT and click Go then Library in the top menu bar.
On windows open Run from the start menu, type %appdata% and click Run.
Locate the minecraft application folder.
Make sure you have already installed Minecraft Forge.

When you get to Middle-Earth you have the choice to become good or evil! This is a great RPG experience because there are many different types of gear, and mobs to fight. The dimension itself features lots of biomes with a large variety of randomly generated structures. This mod adds in a new dimension filled with tons of content. Tolkien’s most famous work, the Lord of the Rings series, and eventually other related tales such as the Hobbit and the Silmarillion. The Lord of the Rings Mod 1.7.10 is a huge expansion planned for Minecraft that will aim to add the world of Middle-earth into the game.
